Oct 8, 2014 - A unit of PowerChina (SHA:601669) will provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for a 20-MW photovoltaic (PV) project in China’s Shandong province.
The Chinese engineering and construction firm, also known as Power Construction Corp of China, said so in a statement today. The subsidiary that was picked for the project is Shandong Electric Power Construction No.2 Co (SEPCO2).
The order was placed by Chinese solar firm CECEP Solar Energy Technology Co Ltd. Construction of the facility, located in Xintai city, kicked off at the end of September and its completion is scheduled for January 2015.
CECEP Solar Energy designs, constructs and operates solar power generation facilities. It also manufactures equipment for the PV industry. The firm is part of the China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection (CECEP) Group.
PowerChina's SEPCO2 unit specialises in the construction of various types of power plants as well as in the provision of engineering services for large-scale industrial and civil buildings.
