Jul 27, 2012 - The Euro-Centrum Science and Technology Park in Katowice, southern Poland, on Thursday announced that it had finished the construction of a Solar Systems Testing Centre on its premises.
The testing centre will verify the quality of solar systems and collectors.
The centre was set up as part of a larger project of Euro-Centrum under the European Union's (EU) Operational Programme Innovative Economy. The project, which is for development and application of new technologies in energy conservation and renewable energy fields, envisages also the establishment of a Training Centre for Modern Heating Technology, and the construction of a new passive building. The whole project is scheduled to be finished by November 28, 2013.
Euro-Centrum Science and Technology Park, set up in 2007, is focused on the development of energy efficient technologies and energy saving in buildings. The park offers laboratory and research equipment, training and consultancy services, and also provides financial support for new companies developing renewable energy projects.
