Poland's Novavis has 90 MW of solar projects in pipeline
Oct 2, 2014 - Polish renewable energy investment and trade company Novavis (WSE:NVV) has two photovoltaic (PV) power plants with combined capacity of some 90 megawatts (MW) in its investment portfolio.
The plants will be located in the area of post-mining slag heaps of the idle Halemba coal-fired power plant in the southern Polish province of Silesia, Novavis said in a statement today.
The company is preparing the whole investment process but does not rule out hiring a general contractor to carry out the projects. Novavis did not provide any financial details on the two solar projects.
Coal-fired Poland has to reach a renewable energy share of 15% by the end of the decade.
