Renewables infrastructure-focused investor Platina Energy Partners LLP said on Tuesday it has agreed an EUR-50-million (USD 56.3m) refinancing for a 20-MW solar photovoltaic (PV) portfolio in Italy.
The company secured the non-recourse long term financing from the Milan branch of ING Bank NV. It is the second refinancing for the company in less than a month, after it obtained GBP 28 million (USD 40.5m/EUR 35.9m) of fresh funds for the 28-MW Danu II wind farm portfolio in the UK earlier in May.
The Italian solar portfolio includes four operational plants that were built in 2011 in the southern part of the country. On the other hand, the UK wind portfolio consists of two 14-MW onshore parks, built in 2009.
