December 10 (Renewables Now) - Photon Energy Operations HU Kft, a unit of Amsterdam-based Photon Energy NV, has won a deal to deliver operations and maintenance (O&M) services for 15.3 MWp of solar parks in Hungary.

The 15-year deal covers 28 solar photovoltaic (PV) farms currently being built near the town of Monor, central Hungary, Photon Energy said last week. Under its terms, Photon Energy will be responsible for monitoring the plants, managing their performance and carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance for each of the 28 facilities.
The plants in Monorierdo are expected to start generating power in the first quarter of next year.

Photon Energy said the location of the solar parks coincides with the selected area where it plans to build eight PV plants by the middle of 2019. After bringing them online, it will take care of their O&M, thus making Hungary its second largest O&M market with 26.8 MWp of assets.
