The Phillippine Department of Energy this week posted a revised timeline for its upcoming 2-GW renewable energy auction, scheduling the competitive bidding process for June 17, 2022, at the latest.
The local government released the Terms of Reference (TOR) and Auction Round Procedure (ARP) for the first auction round on May 6 and plans to open the registration for qualified suppliers on May 21 until May 24.
The posting of qualified bidders is expected to take place on or before May 31, 2022. The energy department noted that the pre-bid conference, scheduled for June 1 at the latest, and all subsequent activities will only be conducted upon the release of the Green Energy Auction Reserve (GEAR) prices by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) by May 30.
The Notice of Award is expected to be posted on or before June 24, 2022.
