Brazilian state-controlled company Petroleo Brasileiro SA (BVMF:PETR4), or Petrobras, has closed the sale of its entire stake in a 26-MW wind farm in Rio Grande do Norte state.
Investment fund FIP Pirineus, through Mangue Seco Participacoes SA, has bought Petrobras' 51% interest in Eolica Mangue Seco 2 - Geradora e Comercializadora de Energia Eletrica SA for BRL 34.2 million (USD 6.5m/EUR 5.3m).
The buyer already owned a 49% stake in the wind asset and now has full control of Mangue Seco 2.
Located in Guamare town, the wind park is part of a 104-MW wind power complex comprised of four 26-MW parks in total -- Mangue Seco 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Petrobras has already concluded the sale of the other three wind plants to V2I Energia SA, a company managed by Vinci Infraestrutura Gestora de Recursos Ltda.
