June 23 (Renewables Now) - US company PetersenDean Roofing and Solar on Thursday said its solar division is expanding in Nevada following the reinstatement of net metering in the state.
The legislation restoring net metering, which was last week signed into law by Nevada governor Brian Sandoval, has already prompted a number of solar companies, such as Tesla's SolarCity, to say they are re-entering the Nevada market.
PetersenDean pointed out it has a long experience in the Nevada new construction market and ranks as the second largest roofer in the state. Its solar expansion in the state will see it hire at least 50 new employees, according to the press release. The company will target 1,200 new projects per year, worth more than USD 30 million (EUR 27m).
