Sep 29, 2014 - Peru's energy ministry last week cancelled a licence held by Andes Power Peru for geothermal exploration activities in the Tutupaca area, according to a resolution in the state gazette.
The company has not paid the fee for the third year of studies as stipulated in its contract, the ministry said. The licence, awarded to Andes Power Peru in March 2011, was valid from July 2012 until July 2015.
The Tutupaca area is located in Cairani and Camilaca districts in the southernmost Tacna region.
