UK solar and battery storage developer Pathfinder Clean Energy (PACE) on Monday said it has obtained planning approval for its 26-MWp Attleborough solar park near Norwich, Norfolk.
The solar farm, expected to produce enough power for 7,523 UK households, is set to be built next year, subject to financing.
After securing consents for the Three Bridges and Burgate solar farms earlier this year, the company now has a UK permitted pipeline of more than 70 MWp across the three projects, which are all located in the east of England.
PACE has other projects in different stages of development in the UK, Canada, Spain and Poland. It plans to submit applications for 300 MW of solar and energy storage projects in the UK before the end of the year. Recently the company started the development and consultation process for a 50-MW solar farm near Diss, Suffolk.
“We will continue to innovate across our projects with additional co-location of energy storage where appropriate and combining additional technologies as and when they become viable such as synchronous condensers, hydrogen or other enhancements,” said managing director Rob Denman.
