Weekly renewables M&A round-up (Aug 8-12)
Aug 12, 2022 17:43 CESTJanuary 13 (Renewables Now) - US solar project developer OYA Solar said on Tuesday it has reached a tax equity financing deal with Greenprint Capital for a portfolio of community solar projects in New York with a combined direct current (DC) capacity of 25 MW.
The portfolio includes a total of four projects – Robinson Road, Wayside and State Route 122A, which were completed at the end of 2021, and Pulaski Solar in Oswego County, expected to be hooked to the grid by the end of March. The trio that is already operational is fully contracted with a mix of residential, commercial, public sector and non-profit organisations.
OYA Solar’s founder and CEO Manish Nayar commented that this deal secures the financing for a significant portion of the company’s 2021-2022 pipeline.
In addition to the four-asset bundle, OYA expects to complete two solar parks totalling 13 MW DC by the second quarter, and to begin construction of another 13 projects totalling 85 MW DC in the spring
