Weekly renewables M&A round-up (Aug 8-12)
Aug 12, 2022 17:43 CESTNovember 23 (Renewables Now) - Swedish renewables developer OX2 AB said on Tuesday that it has acquired the rights to two early-stage solar projects in Skane, Sweden, from compatriot Helios Nordic Energy, as part of its increased focus on solar power.
The projects are estimated to have a combined capacity of 45 MW, OX2 said.
Financial details were not disclosed. Other terms of the agreement specify that OX2 and Helio Nordic Energy are to develop the projects jointly until they receive necessary permits.
Once the permits are in obtained, OX2 will be responsible for construction and operation of the plants.
“We are looking forward to developing the projects together with Helios and to evaluate further areas for cooperation. OX2’s extensive experience from developing wind power is valuable when working with solar energy since the process is similar,” commented Jon Persson, Head of Solar Sweden, OX2.
