Oversupply lurks in Europe as prices of solar panels fall - pvXchange

For the first time since the start of 2016, wholesale prices of crystalline photovoltaic (PV) modules from all regions of origin and in nearly every product class were lower in May than in the previous month and it looks as if this trend will continue in June, German online solar marketplace operator PvXchange says.
Details for the average prices quoted on the European spot market (Chinese goods customs-cleared) for May 2016 are given in the table below. All prices are net prices without value added tax (VAT) in Euro per Watt peak.

"An oversupply in the European market is gradually building, which is now becoming apparent through price reductions on a broad front. Manufacturers and dealers are desperately trying to create buying incentives in a market which appears to have completely flatlined," Martin Schachinger from pvXchange says.
