Spanish independent power producer (IPP) Opdenergy Holding SA (BME:OPDE) announced on Thursday it has transferred two solar power projects based in central Spain with a combined capacity of 87 MW to compatriot Bruc Energy.
This move is part of an agreement signed in August 2021, under which the IPP is selling some 1,101 MW of solar projects spread across Spain to Bruc Energy.
With the new transaction, Opdenergy has handed over 278 MW to Bruc Energy, following the transfer of 81 MW earlier this month.
The company noted that the transfer of the two projects located in Soria province took place after a favourable environmental permit was granted.
Opdenergy said it has also obtained the environmental permits for an additional 94 MW and is preparing to hand over the asset to Bruc Energy in the coming months, reaching 372 MW of transferred projects.
The firm plans to complete the transfer of solar projects during 2023.
