NTPC awaits bids in 190-MW wind-solar tender in Karnataka

October 12 (Renewables Now) - Indian power group NTPC Ltd (BOM:532555) is seeking proposals for the construction of at least 190 MW of wind and solar capacity at its thermal power station in Karnataka.

According to the tender notification, published on Wednesday, the state-run company is willing to add at least 60 MW of wind and 130 MW of photovoltaic (PV) capacity at its Kudgi Super Thermal Power Station in Bijapur district. The project will be developed on turnkey basis.

Interested parties will be able to submit proposals by November 21, 2018.

The scope of work includes the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, installation and commissioning of the grid-connected wind and solar parks. Winning bidders will also have to deliver operations and maintenance (O&M) services for the plants for a year following completion.

NTPC will finance the project through its own resources, it said.
