November 10 (Renewables Now) - German wind turbine maker Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) will equip the Ardderroo wind farm project in Galway on the west coast of the Republic of Ireland with 101 MW of its turbines.

The order includes fifteen N149/4.X turbines and seven N149/5.X units from the Delta4000 series, which will represent the first delivery of Nordex turbines in the 5 MW class in the country, the Hamburg-based company said on Wednesday.

As part of the contract, Nordex will service the wind park for a period of 20 years.

Installation and commissioning of the turbines will take place in the third quarter of 2022.

The name of the client was not disclosed.

The Arrdderroo project has a power purchase agreement (PPA) in place with Amazon Web Services, Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:AMZN) announced last summer.
