December 4 (Renewables Now) - Germany’s Nordex (ETR:NDX1) has received an order to supply and install 138-MW of wind turbines for a project in Mexico.

Without naming the customer or the project, the company on Wednesday said it will deliver 40 units of AW132/330 turbines, two machines of the AW132/3000 model and provide a full two-year service.

The project is located in the state of Tamaulipas in the north-east of Mexico and near a 180-MW wind farm which Nordex built in 2018.

The latest order will feature turbines with a 120-metre hub height installed on concrete towers. The wind turbine company said it will manufacture the towers at its Mexican plant in Marin in the state of Nuevo Leon.

The turbine installation will begin in spring 2020.
