February 25 (Renewables Now) - Germany’s Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) today announced receiving a wind turbine order of 156 MW for a project in the Chilean region of Los Lagos.

The order includes the supply of 33 units of N149/4.0-4.5 turbines from the Delta4000 series and a 15-year premium service. The wind turbines are to be installed on 145-metre tubular steel towers in order to better utilise the wind resource at the site, Nordex said.

Details on the project and the customer have been withheld.

The project site is located 30 kilometres (18.6 miles) north of the city of Puerto Varas.

The wind farm is expected to start operations in 2021 and generate enough power to supply around 180,000 households.
