NEXTracker Inc said today it is working on a patent-pending racking solution for First Solar's (NASDAQ:FSLR) Series 6 panel rollout, and also announced it will be equipping 634 MW of utility-scale projects of the US solar major.
The US solar tracker maker owned by Flex Ltd (NASDAQ:FLEX) will be supplying its NX Horizon solution for a number of projects, namely Rosamond (193 MW) and Willow (129 MW) in California, and Phoebe (312 MW) in Texas.
NEXTracker noted that its mounting system for the First Solar Series 6 modules will utilise patent-pending panel clamps for error-proof rail alignment and fast installation. The solution will be suitable for a wide range of site conditions, according to the company.
NX Horizon and First Solar Series 4 modules have been used together at more than 1 GW of projects to date.
