NextEnergy Solar Fund buys 22 MW of PV parks in Suffolk

NextEnergy Solar Fund Ltd (LON:NESF) said today it has acquired two operating solar plants in Suffolk, England with a combined capacity of 21.7 MWp.
The London-listed solar fund has bought the 8.1-MWp Bay Farm and 13.6-MWp Honnington solar parks from a single counterparty. Both facilities were hooked to the grid in March 2014 and are accredited under the 1.6 Renewable Obligation Certificate (ROC) regulation.
NESF noted that the investment value amounts to GBP 26.4 million (USD 34m/EUR 28.4m) and added it will use existing resources to fund the transaction.
Since its initial public offering (IPO) in 2014, the fund has secured a portfolio of 50 photovoltaic (PV) assets totalling 505 MWp with a total investment of GBP 581 million. It pointed out it expects to announce more investments in due course.
