January 22 (Renewables Now) - The deadline for bids in tenders for the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning in Turkey of five EU-backed solar projects, a hydropower plant (HPP), water pumps and electric buses, has been extended by a week.

The Central Finance and Contracts Unit (CFCU) in Ankara said the new deadline is February 15. There are two ways to submit applications -- by post or private mail service, and by hand. The tender opening session will be on February 18 instead of February 12.

The solar parks in the tenders will be located in Denizli, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya and Şanlıurfa. All projects will receive financial support under the EU's Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA II).
