Rezolv Energy, a new clean power producer backed by EUR 500 million (USD 512.2m) from Actis, seeks to build a multi-gigawatt portfolio of wind, solar and energy storage to serve commercial and industrial users in Central and South Eastern Europe.
The company announced its official launch today, saying that it starts with the acquisition of late-stage development rights to a couple of wind projects in the region totalling 1 GW. These schemes should be realised in the period 2025-2026, with the awarding of construction contracts expected early next year.
Rezolv will be engaged in the execution of renewable energy projects from late-stage development through construction and into long-term operation, and the supply of subsidy-free clean electricity to supermarkets, breweries, telecoms and other large businesses.
“Rising energy costs, heightened security concerns, demand to meet climate targets, and stakeholder expectations, are causing a rethink on energy usage – and production. Today, private companies, as well as public utilities, are finding their traditional reliance on fossil fuels far less viable,” commented Jim Campion, CEO of Rezolv.
