Feb 22, 2019 8:57 CESTDecember 3 (Renewables Now) - Brazil's president elect Jair Bolsonaro announced on Friday the appointment of admiral Bento Costa Lima Leite de Albuquerque Junior as the country's new energy minister.
The new minister will take office together with the president elect on January 1, 2019.
Before replacing Wellington Moreira Franco, admiral Bento Costa served for more than 40 years in the country's Navy. He is currently the general director of Nuclear and Technological Development of the Navy and is part of the board of directors of state-owned company Empresas Nucleares Brasileiras S/A, also know as Nuclebras.
