UK electricity and gas utility National Grid Plc (LON:NG) has given a new brand name to its US renewables business, previously known as wind and solar developer Geronimo Energy.
The National Grid Renewables brand launched on Wednesday, as part of the company’s commitment to bring about a clean energy transition by developing, owning and operating large-scale assets across the US.
Acquired by National Grid in July 2019, the Geronimo Energy team has since signed over 500 MW worth of contracts with customers and expanded its pipeline of wind, solar and battery storage projects in the US, the parent company said.
