MPower starts work on two 5-MW solar projects in S Australia

January 17 (Renewables Now) - Sydney-based MPower Group Ltd (ASX:MPR) has initiated early works on two 5-MW solar projects in South Australia, having obtained Limited Notices to Proceed from their developer, Astronergy Solar Australia Pty Ltd.

The company will conduct preliminary designs and associated activities to an initial value of AUD 0.5 million (USD 0.34m/EUR 0.31m) and will work with Astronergy towards executing full Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts for the projects. These are estimated to be worth a combined AUD 8 million-9 million.

Last year, MPower successfully commissioned two 5-MW solar farms at Mannum and Port Pirie in South Australia.
