Motech Industries solar cell shipments top 100 MW in October

(ADPnews) - Nov 10, 2010 - Taiwan's solar cells producer Motech Industries (TPO:6244) said on Tuesday it shipped 102 MW solar cells in October 2010 upon reaching 1.15 GW capacity in the third quarter.

The company said it was the first Taiwanese firm and among the few companies worldwide to have surpassed 1 GW capacity and 100 MW shipments in a month.

"We intend to continue to grow market share, make Motech a well-known solar brand and worldwide industry leader, and benefit our shareholders for years to come", Motech CEO Chang added.
