US solar developer Secure Futures LLC has secured USD 8 million (EUR 7.4m) in loan financing to support the installation of solar arrays for a couple of school divisions and a homeless services centre in the state of Virginia.
More specifically, Secure Futures will equip with almost 2 MW of solar panels five additional campuses at Augusta County Schools, where last year the company installed 1.8 MW on seven sites.
Also, it will install 2.5 MW of solar modules on eight campuses at Orange County Schools.
Last but not least, the firm will deploy a 427-kW solar power system at the Caritas centre in Richmond that is currently being built.
All three projects will be realised by Secure Futures at no upfront capital cost to customers through a power purchase agreement (PPA).
The financing comes from City National Bank, which has done more than USD 13 million in loan business with Secure Futures since 2016, the press statement says.
