Axpo Bulgaria was established in 2006 as a subsidiary of Swiss energy company Axpo Group. The group covers the entire energy value chain and markets renewable energies across Europe. In 2007, Axpo Bulgaria was granted a power trading licence and has since been an active participant in power markets in Bulgaria and neighbouring countries. In 2011, the company opened a service centre to provide operational and associated back-office services to the wider Axpo Group. Milena Videnova has been Axpo Bulgaria's Managing Director since August 2020.
