Meyer Burger Technology AG (SWX:MBTN) will supply solar equipment with a projected total production capacity of around 160 MW as part of a CHF-22-million (USD 22.6m/EUR 19.9m) order placed by Russian sector firm Hevel LLC.
The Swiss solar machinery company will ship equipment and technologies for the entire photovoltaic (PV) value chain, from crystalline solar wafers to cell and module production, it said in a press statement on Monday.
Meyer Burger added that the systems to be supplied will develop Hevel’s existing technology into an integrated cell and module line for the production of heterojunction and SmartWire Connection Technology (SWCT) solar modules.
Delivery and commissioning of the purchased equipment is expected to occur during the first half of next year.
