Meyer Burger bags CHF 70m equipment order in Asia

(ADPnews) - Nov 9, 2010 - Swiss machine maker Meyer Burger (SWF:MBTN) said today it has landed a CHF 70 million (USD 72.8m/EUR 52.3m) contract for wire saws and wafer inspection systems with an Asian customer.

The company did not disclose the name of the customer. It said that the client needs the manufacturing equipment for the expansion of a production facility in 2011.

The wire saws will be provided by MB Wafertec and the inspection systems by Hennecke Systems GmbH, both units of Meyer Burger.

The equipment will be supplied in the next year.
