Construction starts on 34-MW wind expansion project in Lower Austria
May 25, 2022 18:44 CESTJanuary 25 (Renewables Now) - Madrid-based platform Matrix Renewables, created by asset manager TPG, has secured financing for its 50-MW Olivares solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Spain, it said today.
The firm signed a long-term financing agreement with Spanish lender Banco Santander SA (BME:SAN) for an undisclosed amount.
The Olivares solar farm will be located in Jaen province, southern Spain. Matrix expects to have the plant up and running in the third quarter of 2022.
Matrix Renewables’ current portfolio consists of 1.8 GW of operational, under-construction, or near ready-to-build solar PV projects, and a further 2.3 GW of renewable energy schemes in the development pipeline. Matrix develops its projects in Europe, the US and Latin America.
