PV tower developer Three Sixty Solar debuts on Canadian bourse
Aug 15, 2022 17:20 CESTNovember 10 (Renewables Now) - Madrid-based platform Matrix Renewables, created by asset manager TPG, has agreed to acquire an initial 91-MW solar portfolio in Italy from Spanish PV-focused developer Solaer.
The portfolio contains 15 different projects, and Matrix expects the first-phase construction to commence in 2022, the company said today.
“Through this agreement with Solaer, Matrix continues to accelerate its growth towards becoming a leading renewable energy platform in Italy and around the world. We continue to explore additional opportunities in Europe, the US and Latin America in our international expansion”, Matrix Renewables' head of M&A and investments, Inigo Asensio, said.
This past September, Matrix Renewables entered the Italian market through a partnership with Horus Green Energy Investment to co-develop nearly 420 MW of solar plants in Sicily and Lazio. It then stated its ambition to operate at least 500 MW in the solar, storage and wind sectors throughout the country.
"This new agreement contributes significantly to reaching that target," Matrix added today.
