Eni moves Dogger Bank stake to offshore wind JV with HitecVision
Jun 30, 2022 16:51 CESTAugust 25 (Renewables Now) - Tenaga Nasional Berhad (KLSE:TENAGA), or TNB, has signed power purchase agreements (PPAs) for 500 MW of power capacity across 10 projects, all winners in Round Four of Malaysia’s Large Scale Solar (LSS) programme.
The counterparties, among which is Sharp Ventures Solar, will each design, construct, own, operate and maintain 50-MW solar parks and sell their output to the Malaysian utility under 21-year contracts.
All solar parks but one will become operational between September and December of 2023. The one exception is a solar farm to be built by JAKS Solar Power Sdn Bhd. It will be the first to go online with a commercial operations date of March 30, 2023.
The LSS programme was introduced by the Malaysian government in 2016 to replace feed-in tariffs (FiTs).
