September 23 (Renewables Now) - China’s Longi Solar today said it will supply TBEA SunOasis Co with 360 MW of its solar modules for the developer's production base at Shihezi City in China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.

The order includes 103 MW of Longi's new Hi-MO 5 modules. This is the first order for the new product, which has been designed for ultra-large ground solar parks.

The Hi-MO 5 panel was launched with front-side power up to 540 W in June 2020. It uses M10 (182-mm) standard gallium doped monocrystalline wafers and has a conversion efficiency exceeding 21%.

The company's production capacity for the new modules is expected to reach 12 GW this year as a new factory in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province is added.
