Lithuania’s Lietuvos Energija to buy 50-MW wind project in Poland

November 5 (Renewables Now) - Lithuania’s state-owned Lietuvos Energija has sealed a conditional agreement to buy a 50-MW wind farm project in Poland from Wento, Lietuvos Energija announced today.

Under the terms of the deal signed on November 2, the power distribution group will assume ownership of 100% of the shares and the shareholder claim rights for the wind farm project, developed in Poland by Wento, a local solar and wind farm projects developer.

The agreed sum for the purchase was not disclosed by the buyer.

Lietuvos Energija noted that the Commission for the Protection of Objects of Importance to Ensuring National Security of the Republic of Lithuania has decided not to start assessing the transaction for compliance with the interests of national security.
