Lincoln Renewable gets permission to build 10-MW solar park in New Jersey
(ADPnews) - Dec 14, 2010 - US green energy project developer Lincoln Renewable Energy (LRE) said today that the planning board of the Mannington township in New Jersey had given the green light to its USD-60-million (EUR 44.7m)10 MW NJ Cedar solar project in Salem county.
Construction on the solar park will kick off in early 2010. It will open some 100 temporary working positions.
Back in October, LRE secured permission to build another 10-MW solar project -- the NJ Oak solar park -- in Cumberland county.
At the same time, commenting on the tax extenders bill, now moving through congress, which will extend the Treasury grant programme for solar developments in 2011, LRE chief executive Declan Flanagan said "Extension of the Treasury Grant Program is critical to moving [the company's multiple] projects into construction with the creation of hundreds of jobs in the supply chain and in project construction,".
