Renewables investor and financier Leyline Renewable Capital has agreed to provide funds to Core Solar LLC so it can develop 600 MW of utility-scale solar projects in the US.
The development-stage capital to be provided by Leyline will back just a portion of Core Solar's entire pipeline across the US, the announcement notes. The latter currently has more than 4,000 MW of projects under contract and in development.
"This investment will enable Core Solar to accelerate its already extensive development pipeline and ensure that these critical projects have the resources they need to move quickly to construction," said Erik Lensch, CEO of Leyline Renewable Capital.
In addition to solar power, Leyline also finances anaerobic digestion and energy storage projects across the US.
