LDK Solar makes three executive appointments

(ADPnews) - Oct 4, 2010 - Chinese photovoltaic (PV) products maker LDK Solar Co Ltd (NYSE:LDK) said today it had appointed a chief strategy officer, vice president of cell technology and vice president of module sales and marketing to support its expansion into the solar cells, polysilicon and solar modules markets.

Bing Zhu was named chief strategy officer, while Fei Yun and Seok-Jin Lee took the positions of vice president cell technology and vice president of module sales and marketing, respectively.

Bing Zhu has more than 24 year of experience in the finance sector. Prior to the appointment, Zhu was CFO and board director at Chemspec International Ltd (NYSE:CPC) and Canadian Solar Inc (NASDAQ:CSIQ).

Fei Yun has held a number of technology management posts at Solar Enertech Corp (OTC:SOEN), Solarfun Power Holding Co and Tera Solar Technologies. He has over 25 years of experience in R&D and more specifically in the area of silicon solar cells.

Seok-Jin Lee has served as COO of Yingli Green Energy Holding Co Ltd (NYSE:YGE) and has also held the position of general manager of the marketing department at Hyundai Heavy Industries (SEO:009540).
