Lark Energy files plans for 15-MW solar park in England's Norfolk - report
Sep 21, 2012 - UK solar project firm Lark Energy has submitted plans for a 15-MW solar farm in Thornham on the north Norfolk coast, eastern England, Norwich Evening News reported today.
The facility will consist of over 51,000 solar modules installed across 71 acres (28.7 hectares) of land and is expected to generate enough power to supply 3,600 homes per year. According to a report in support of the application, construction of the solar farm would take 16 weeks.
It is expected that West Norfolk Council will decide on the application by the middle of December.
The company is also working on a proposal for a 150-acre solar park on Ellough Airfield, close to Beccles in the English county of Suffolk, Norwich Evening News noted.
Lark Energy is part of Lincolnshire-based construction and development group Larkfleet Group.
