French independent renewable energy producer Langa added 120 MW to its project pipeline with a new acquisition just before Christmas.
The company said on Friday it had acquired French developer Eole Avenir Developpement (EAD) as part of its new acquisition strategy to target mainly wind and solar assets.
As Langa is active at all stages of renewable energy development - from the drawing board through construction to operation, its external growth will follow the market with agility, looking for opportunities that bring operational synergies, just like EAD does, said Gilles Lebreux, head of Langa.
Set up in 2008, Langa currently operates about 200 renewable energy plants with a total capacity of 150 MW, including mostly solar, biomass and biogas assets. The group also has 500 MW of mostly wind and solar projects under development in France and abroad.
