Kong Sun to invest in 600 MW of Chinese distributed solar

Dec 3, 2014 - Hong Kong-based investor Kong Sun Holdings Ltd (HKG:0295) said today it has partnered with project developer Yucheng Hangyu Solar Technology Co Ltd to install 600 MW of distributed solar capacity in China over three years.
Under the framework agreement, signed on December 3, Kong Sun will have priority rights to invest in distributed generation (DG) solar systems constructed by Yucheng Hangyu from 2015 to 2017. Each of the photovoltaic (PV) arrays will be of no less than 5 MW.
At this point, the company did not disclose any further details on the solar power plan.
Kong Sun’s previous operations in the downstream PV segment included only ground-mounted plants.
