Dec 19, 2014 - Hong Kong-based investor Kong Sun Holdings Ltd (HKG:0295) said Thursday it has partnered with property developer Century Golden Resources Ltd to install more than 300 MW of distributed solar capacity in China over three years.
Under the framework agreement, signed on December 18, the company’s unit Kong Sun Yongtai Investment Holdings Co Ltd will have the rights to invest in and construct distributed generation (DG) solar systems at Century Golden’s buildings from 2015 to 2017. The photovoltaic (PV) arrays will be located on real estate projects, hotels and shopping malls.
At this point, the company did not disclose any further details on that solar power plan.
Earlier this month, Kong Sun announced it will invest in a further 600 MW of distributed PV at home, under a collaboration with project developer Yucheng Hangyu Solar Technology Co Ltd. Before that, the firm’s previous operations in the downstream PV segment included only ground-mounted plants.
