Kinexia launches 11 MWp solar plant in central Italy
Nov 30, 2011 - BS Solar Srl, a solar power company owned by Italian holding group Kinexia SpA (BIT:KNX), has launched a solar power plant of 11 MWp in Borgo Sabotino in the central Lazio region, Kinexia said in a statement.
The plant can benefit from Italy's fourth feed-in tariff plan, Conto Energia.
The facility, located on some 30 ha (74.13 acres), cost a net investment of EUR 27.7 million (USD 36.9m) and was built by Volteo Energie SpA, Kinexia's sub-holding for renewables.
The solar plant is expected to produce annually some 14,850,000 kWh at full capacity and to save emissions of some 8,900 tonnes of CO2 a year.
