Dec 06, 2019 16:29 CESTNovember 1 (Renewables Now) - German renewable projects developer Juwi AG said on Wednesday it has won an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a 50-MWp solar project in Vietnam.
The contract was signed with a consortium of Quadran International of France and TTVN Group of Vietnam. With this agreement, Juwi has surpassed the 100-MW mark in Vietnam. Specifically, the company's cumulative capacities to be installed until June 2019 stand at 130 MWp.
Located in Cat Hiep, Binh Dinh province, the 50-MWp photovoltaic (PV) plant is expected to add more than 75 million kWh to the national grid annually, Juwi stated in its press release. In addition to the EPC works, Juwi will also be in charge of operation and maintenance (O&M) services for at least the next two years.
Last week, the company announced it is also building a 50-MW solar park and a 30-MW plant in Ninh Thuan province.
