Juwi sells nearly 6 MWp of solar projects in Czech Republic to Plain Energy
Oct 25, 2011 - German renewable projects developer Juwi said on Monday it had sold two photovoltaic (PV) parks in the Czech Republic with a combined capacity of nearly 5.8 MWp to German power producer Plain Energy GmbH.
The assets include a 4.8-MWp power facility in Hostovice, which features 64,000 thin-film modules manufactured by First Solar (NASDAQ:FSLR). The solar park, with an estimated output of 5.4 million kWh a year, was connected to the grid in December last year.
Juwi also disposed of its 997.5-kWp Trebovice solar park, powered by 13,300 modules. The facility commenced operation in December 2010 and is expected to produce over one million kWh in a year.
