December 4 (Renewables Now) - JinkoSolar Holding Co Ltd (NYSE:JKS) on Tuesday said it has provided solar modules with a capacity of around 40 MW for the Almelo solar project developed by Denmark-based Obton A/S in the eastern Netherlands.

The Cheetah HC 60 panels, provided by an affiliate of the Chinese solar module maker, were installed in Obton's project in the summer of 2019, according to the statement.

JinkoSolar's General Manager Europe Frank Niendorf said that the company's Cheetah HC and Cheetah Plus modules made up a significant part of the Dutch photovoltaic market this year and helped create new growth opportunities for JinkoSolar into 2020.

JinkoSolar's panels will help Obton increase the internal rate of return of the Almelo project by reducing capital expenditure and increasing yield, JinkoSolar's country manager for the Netherlands, Arda Kristaporyan, said.
