April 24 (Renewables Now) - JinkoSolar Holding Co Ltd (NYSE:JKS) announced today that it has equipped with solar modules a 100-MW plant that was recently inaugurated in Vietnam.

JinkoSolar said in a statement that it supplied the photovoltaic (PV) modules that make up the Srepok 1 and Quang Minh solar power plant complex, located in Buon Don district in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak.

The total cost of building the plant was VND 2.2 trillion (USD 94.8m/EUR 84.7m) and the construction process lasted about four months, between October 2018 and January 2019.

The Srepok 1 and Quang Minh complex is now capable of generating enough power each year to reduce the need to import about 90,000 tonnes of coal into Vietnam.
