April 24 (Renewables Now) - Green infrastructure company Japan Asia Group Ltd (TYO:3751), or JAG, announced today it has completed work on a 26.3-MW solar power plant in Miyagi prefecture.

Located in the town of Natori, the Natori Solar Way was developed by the firm's energy arm JAG International Energy Co Ltd.

The photovoltaic (PV) park is estimated to produce enough power to meet the annual demand of 7,700 local homes. Toko Electrical Construction Co Ltd was responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) works.

The solar farm covers an area of 29.8 hectares (73.6 acres) and uses solar panels supplied by Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corp. Local utility Tohoku Electric Power Co Inc (TYO:9506) will be the sole purchaser of the plant's output, JAG said.

Earlier this month, the company completed work on 3.3 MW of solar power plants in Hokkaido prefecture.
