JA Solar to grow Japanese business with Tokyo office
Aug 8, 2012 - Chinese solar equipment maker JA Solar Holdings Co Ltd (NASDAQ:JASO) on Wednesday unveiled the opening of an office in Tokyo to support its further expansion on the local market.
The company's staff at the new location will back JA Solar's marketing and sales efforts in the Asian country. Japan's photovoltaics market is seen this year to jump by 64% in annual terms to 2.05 GW, according to data from SolarBuzz.
The Japanese government recently launched feed-in tariffs (FiTs) for solar power of JPY 42 (USD 0.54/EUR 0.43) per kW, which have already lured many domestic and global solar power companies.
