JA Solar equips water treatment facilities in S Australia

Chinese solar products maker JA Solar Holdings Co Ltd (NASDAQ:JASO) today said it has delivered 4.14 MW of photovoltaic (PV) modules for certain water treatment plants in Australia.

The PV modules will be used in a series of coastal facilities in South Australia owned by South Australian Water Corporation (SA Water). Specifically, they will power SA Water's Hope Valley Water Treatment Plant, Glenelg Wastewater Treatment Plant and Christies Beach Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Enerven Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SA Power Networks, is in charge of deploying the solar arrays, which are part of SA Water's efforts to achieve zero net electricity costs, JA Solar stated in a press release.
